On July 10th, 2026, our team spent the day on the course at the New Albany-Floyd County Education Foundation’s Play Fore Education Golf Scramble, where City Wide Facility Solutions of Louisville was proud to serve as both a hole sponsor and a participating team.
It was a genuinely great day: good weather, a full field, and a course full of Southern Indiana businesses that showed up for the same reason we did.
Why the NAFC Education Foundation matters
The New Albany-Floyd County Education Foundation is an independent fundraising organization that provides resources and experiences to students and teachers across Floyd County public schools. Here is the part worth understanding: the Foundation receives no tax dollars and no state funding. Every classroom grant and every program it supports is funded entirely through private donations and community events like this one.
That funding goes to work in ways you can point to. The Foundation’s programs include Great Classroom Grants that put resources directly into teachers’ hands, Mental Health Grants supporting student wellbeing, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library mailing free books to young children, and Blessings in a Backpack, which sends food home with students who need it on weekends.
As the Foundation puts it, schools are increasingly stretched by tax limitations and growing demand, and private support is what fills the gap between a functional classroom and a genuinely great one.
Showing up where we work
New Albany sits just across the river, and Southern Indiana is part of the Kentuckiana region our team serves every day. The schools the Foundation supports are attended by our employees’ kids and our clients’ employees’ kids. Supporting them is not an abstraction for us, it is the community we operate in.
That is also how we approach facility management. City Wide Facility Solutions of Louisville is locally owned and operated, backed by a national brand but staffed by people who live here. Whether we are managing a nightly janitorial program or coordinating a specialty project, the same principle applies: local accountability, from people invested in the outcome.
